so if u cant tell by the name of my blog i am an "artist" well sorta, im only fifteen but i am pretty good at least thats what my friends and family say. so over the past few days i have been drawing a tree. yes it sounds plain but behind every drawing and every painting i ever made there is an entire story behind it. it tells of feelings and of where the picture came from, its history. it tells of how and why it all began and shows where it was leading, its whole life. it tells of what became of it after it is all over and done with and how it will continue to affect those who look at it or cross its path, where it ended up. to me it is more than a pretty face, theres so much more to it than that. theres a whole other side to it just waiting to be discovered and admired. so in a way each work of art has a life of its own, a certain spot in time which belongs to it and only it, just like a generation, you will live your life and then you will leave but you wont take everything with you, you will leave so much behind that everyone has a chance to learn about you and love the story you left behind for everyone to see.
now another thing people may overlook when it comes to art is that as things change and as you go through life, no matter where you yourself end up and wherever your life takes you those pictures stay the same. its kind of like a diary only for people who arent that into the whole writing everyday kinda thing. you can look back to them to remember the past and for guidance in the present and future. it shows how far you have come as a person and it tells YOUR story with its story, because its story is part of your story and you. you can find out exactly how you were feeling before after and during the time the drawing or painting (or whatever your preference of art may be) and go back to that time, like a song can when it is played over it can take you back to that time and place even back to who you used to be. everything has an outside and an inside. you just have to look past the pretty face to truly enjoy what it has to offer. well these are my feelings and i hope that i have shed a little bit of light on the subject to try to get you to understand the very passion i have for art. it is my life. it holds my story. it IS my story. whats yours?
